Australian Privacy Act 1988

This policy explains what personal information CL Sustainability Services (ABN 56 697 791 209), of 23 Casey Drive, Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029, collects through this website, how we use it, and how you can ask us to change or remove it. We are a small Australian operations business and we collect information for one reason: to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to engagement, to deliver the work. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

01What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form, we collect the information you provide in those fields:

  • Name (required) - so we know who we're replying to.
  • Email (required) - so we can reply.
  • Company or organisation (optional) - context for the enquiry.
  • Phone (optional) - used only if a faster response is needed.
  • Event details (optional free text) - anything you tell us about your event.
  • How you heard about us (optional) - for understanding which marketing is working.

We do not collect payment details, identity documents, or any sensitive information through this site.

02How we use it

Your enquiry is sent to our operations inbox and routed to the person handling pre-event scoping. If the enquiry leads to a quote, the information you supplied is added to our customer-relationship records so we don't ask you the same questions twice. We do not use it for unsolicited marketing.

03Who sees it

Within CL Sustainability Services, your enquiry is visible to the operations team only. Our customer-relationship records are held with a third-party CRM provider (Breezy) acting as our data processor under contract. We do not sell, rent, or share enquiry data with any other party.

04How long we keep it

If your enquiry leads to engagement, we retain the records for the period required for business and tax purposes (typically seven years). If your enquiry does not progress, we keep the record for up to twelve months and then delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry earlier - see below.

05Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to:

  • show you what we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date; or
  • delete your record (subject to legal retention obligations).

To make any of these requests, or to raise a concern about how we handle your personal information, contact:

We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your enquiry or your personal information, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
